NTX Embedded Announces New Cap Touch Technology

Posted by Jordan Pounds on Jan 16, 2019 5:14:55 PM

Membrane switches and other types of physical controls are continuing to become a product of the past. High demand applications in industrialized kitchens are requiring a more modern and more robust type of electronic control. NTX Embedded has addressed this need by launching the Vanguard cap touch control. This is a new type of technology in the market that offers strengthened  glass over discrete capacitive touch controls. It features a high-tech dead-front look incorporating a bright LED alphanumeric display with icons. Each icon is a fixed capacitive-touch button which is individually lit (single or multicolor), providing a sleek look and feel. This platform is also Wi-Fi capable which transforms your product into an IoT enabled device.

SCWA EXPO - 2018

Posted by Jordan Pounds on Feb 27, 2018 3:45:35 PM
The Southwest Car Wash Association put on a great show this past week with their annual expo at the Arlington Convention Center. I attended the show to speak with the exhibitors about our ability to provide touch screen systems for their applications and was excited to see an increasing number of manufactures within the industry that have evolved to use embedded touch controls on their equipment.  Manufacturers offering self-service and automatic car wash baystations/payment terminals are utitilizing touch displays to address consumers demand for next generation technology in controls. I was quick to learn of the rapid growing need for robust vandal proof controls as this product is used outdoors. If you are an OEM that is need of a hardened/ruggedized embedded touch controlthat can withstand outdoor elements such as vandalism and harsh weather, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Transitioning Products from Traditional to Touch

We believe that a great user experience is more than what is on a screen. It is also made up of every part of a device from the visual appearance and feel of the materials to the sounds it makes. Every interaction with the device should be great from plugging it in to turning it off.
